Antonino Marvuglia, born in 1977, holds a Master degree on Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Environmental Applied Physics, both from the University of Palermo (Italy). From 2007 to 2009 he was Post-doc fellow at the same University, dealing with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of building materials. From 2009 to 2010 he was a Marie Curie Post-doc fellow at the Cork Constraint Computation Centre (nowadays called Insight Institute for Data Analytics) of the University College Cork (Ireland), dealing with Decision Support for Collaborative Decision Making. Since 2010 he moved his career in Luxembourg, where he started as a Research and Development Engineer at the Public Research Centre Henri Tudor. He is now a Senior Research & Technology Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). His main research interests are in the area of computational algorithms for sustainability assessment, with focus on LCA. He is co-author of more than 50 publications in international peer reviewed scientific journals and book chapters, and he has presented his work in numerous international conferences on the topics of LCA, decision support systems and energy planning, renewable energies, environmental management and assessment.
