Portrait image of Lukas Friedrich

Lukas Friedrich was born in Germany in 1991. He obtained his high school diploma in 2010, and went on to complete a voluntary social year as handball coach for children and young people. In 2011, he started studying chemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2015, and received a master‘s degree in Chemistry in 2016. Since then he is conducting his PhD studies in the group of Prof. Gisbert Schneider in the field of computer-assisted drug design at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at ETH Zurich. In his research, he focuses on computational drug design, medicinal chemistry and applications of artificial intelligence in drug discovery.
