Filippo Simini is Senior Lecturer in the department of Engineering Mathematics at the University of Bristol, UK, and fellow of the Alan Turing institute, the UK institute for data science and artificial intelligence. He is expert in human mobility modelling and has extensive experience in working with various types of big data sources related to human activity and human behaviour to create generative models and make predictions. His research work has impact and applications on epidemic forecasting, the assessment of future mobility scenarios and emergency planning.
