Martin Kristensen is a data scientist and business developer at the district heating utility company of Aarhus, Denmark, in collaboration with Aarhus University. Here, he seeks to combine his knowledge about the built environment and its energy performance with the needs of district heating systems to provide data-driven business models that will allow the transition towards a fully coupled smart energy systems future. His main interests lie in the fields of dynamic demand-side modelling and the implementation energy flexible heating consumption. Martin holds a Master’s degree in indoor environmental and energy engineering from Aalborg University and a PhD in urban building energy engineering from Aarhus University.
